A self-check service is a machine that allows students/staff members to check out or return books without needing assistance from library staff.
The Univen Library has three self-check service machines, two are on the ground floor right after the entrance, and one is on the first floor next to the printers and the kiosk.
Here's what a self-check service machine does:
1. Check Out Items
Students/staff members scan their student/staff card and then scan the books they want to borrow.
2. Return Items
It allows students/staff members to return items by scanning them and placing them in a designated bin.
3. Print Receipts
It prints a receipt showing due dates for borrowed items or confirmation of returns.
4. Account Access
Students/staff members can view their account details, such as current checkouts, due dates, and fines.
